Weekly Maryland recruiting roundup

In this week's recruiting roundup, the Terps football team's 2015 class gets bigger. Like, a lot bigger.

Football recruiting

--The Terps added five commits to their class of 2015: Fort Hill running back/athlete Ty Johnson, quarterback Gage Shaffer, Potomac defensive tackle Keiron Howard, defensive back Kareem Ali and lineman Mbi Tanyi.

-- Class of 2015 defensive back target Marcus Lewis, a Florida commit, reportedly will take an official visit to Maryland this fall.

-- Class of 2015 quarterback target Kai Locksley (Gilman) visited Alabama on Thursday, and reportedly received an offer from the Crimson Tide.

Basketball recruiting

-- Class of 2015 point guard target Kevin Dorsey received an offer from Maryland on Wednesday. The Paul VI (Va.) point guard, not to be confused with the former Terps and current Green Bay Packers wide receiver, is a four-star prospect rated the 24th-best point guard in his class by 247Sports.com.
