Weekly Maryland recruiting roundup

In this week's recruiting roundup, Maryland fans hold their breath, for Three-Star Offensive Lineman Decision Day 2013 has arrived.

Football recruiting

-- Class of 2014 offensive line targets Brock Ruble and Marcus Applefield will announce their college destinations within a half-hour of one another today. Both are three-star offensive tackle prospects. Both are announcing this afternoon: Ruble at 2 p.m., Applefield at 2:30 p.m. Both could pick Maryland, or not.

-- Class of 2014 defensive back commit Jordan Noil had an interception in a 14-9 win last Friday. His Norcross (Ga.) team will face North Gwinnett in next Saturday’s Class AAAAAA state championship game at the Georgia Dome.

-- Class of 2014 offensive line commit Derwin Gray, having completed a semester of prep school at Fork Union Military Academy, looks set to enroll early at Maryland next semester.

-- Class of 2014 defensive end/linebacker target JaWhaun Bentley committed to Purdue on Saturday.

-- Watch Class of 2014 athlete commit Will Ulmer run around defenders, and occasionally throw passes by them, too, in his season-end highlight reel.

-- Five Maryland players made's list of the top 250 Class of 2015 prospects: Quince Orchard defensive lineman Adam McLean (No. 48), Franklin offensive lineman Pat Allen (No. 122), Eleanor Roosevelt offensive lineman Isaiah Prince (No. 160), Damascus athlete Jalen Christian (No. 178) and Gaithersburg athlete Kamonte Carter (No. 238).

-- Class of 2015 linebacker target Wyatt Cook (McDonogh) is high on the Terps. Watch him run down enemy running backs, then open holes for friendly ones, here.

Basketball recruiting

-- Class of 2014 guard commit Melo Trimble had 22 points in a 73-65 win Wednesday.

-- Class of 2014 guard commit Dion Wiley also had 22 points in a 110-80 win Thursday.
