Maryland offense vs. N.C. State defense: It's Maryland's Senior Day, which means the final home games for RB Da'Rel Scott, LBs Alex Wujciak and Adrian Moten and 13 other Terps. Maryland coach Ralph Friedgen said he has never seen Scott (518 yards, 4.9 average) run harder than he did last week against Florida State behind an injury-riddled offensive line. The Wolfpack defense excels on third down largely because of pass rushing (N.C. State is tied for third in the nation with 3.27 sacks per game). LB Nate Irving is fourth nationally in tackles for loss (1.73 per game).

Maryland defense vs. N.C. State offense: Another Wolfpack win will tie for second-most wins in school history behind the 2002 team's 11 victories. N.C. State quarterback Russell Wilson leads the ACC with 24 touchdown passes. Wilson has the best touchdown-to-interception ratio (2.88) in ACC history, and the Wolfpack's passing offense tops the conference (270.6 yards per game). WR Owen Spencer leads receivers with 51 catches and a 15.4 average. Maryland ranks third in the ACC (conference games only) in total defense at 327.4 yards per game.
