Series: Boston College leads 5-2.

Maryland offense vs. Boston College defense: The Terps have struggled to run on the road this season (44 rushing yards last week at Clemson) and face a formidable Boston College defense. The Eagles rank first in the Atlantic Coast Conference and 10th in the nation in rushing defense at 90.3 yards per game and are third in ACC in total defense (329.5 yards per game). LB Luke Kuechly leads the nation in tackles per game, and DE Alex Albright is among ACC sack leaders. The Terps will want to establish a short passing game for redshirt freshman QB Danny O'Brien, who threw the first three interceptions of his career last week.

Boston College offense vs. Maryland defense: The Eagles are led by RB Montel Harris, the ACC's top rusher (96.3 yards per game). Freshman QB Chase Rettig made his second career start in last week's game at Florida State, Boston College's fourth straight defeat. The Terps rank seventh in the ACC in total defense but are first in red-zone defense and tied for second in turnover margin (plus-five).
