Special guests added to Sept. 30 tribute for Gary Williams

The Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards today announced the addition of several special guests for the event honoring University of Maryland basketball coach Gary Williams on Sept. 30 at the Hippodrome Theater.

Among the guests added: ESPN college basketball analyst Jay Bilas; best-selling author and journalist John Feinstein; play-by-play voice of the Terrapins Johnny Holliday; Maryland basketball color analyst Chris Knoche; Williams' Maryland teammate Billy Jones; and former Maryland basketball coach Frank Fellows.

Each year, the fall gala celebrates a significant figure or crowning achievement in Maryland sports history. Williams will be inducted into the museum's Hall of Legends joining Babe Ruth, Johnny Unitas, Art Modell, Jim McKay and Brooks Robinson

The Sept. 30 event will include tributes from Williams' former players, Hall of Fame coaches and other special guests connected to him and his career in basketball. Guests previously announced include Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim; Villanova coach Jay Wright; and former Maryland standouts Len Elmore and Walt Williams.

Tickets are available at various levels: $150 includes the cocktail reception from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and the program, while program-only seating is available at orchestra level and in the balcony for $60 or $40.
