Select game times and television designations for the 2018 Maryland football season were announced by ESPN and FOX on Thursday.
For the second straight season, the Terps will open against Texas. This yearās meeting with the Longhorns is set for noon on Sept. 1 at FedEx Field in Landover. It will be broadcast on FoxSports1. Maryland defeated then-No. 23 Texas, 51-41, in Austin last year.
The Terps will then travel to Bowling Green the following week for their first night game of the season. Marylandās road opener against the Falcons will be Sept. 8 at 6 p.m., and can be seen on ESPN+.
The first game played at Maryland Stadium is set for the following Saturday, when the Terps face Temple at noon on Sept. 15. Maryland is 7-1 all-time against the Owls, with the most recent meeting occurring in 2012. The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
Marylandās games at Michigan (Oct. 6) and at Iowa (Oct. 20) will both start at noon with television designation to be announced at a later date.
The Terps will host Rutgers for their homecoming game on Oct. 13. The game will start at noon with television details to be released at a later date.
