Early bowl projections for the Maryland football team

The Maryland football team is off a 3-1 start under second-year coach DJ Durkin, meaning the Terps are three wins away from bowl eligibility. Though Maryland has lost two starting quarterbacks in Tyrrell Pigrome and Kasim Hill, third-stringer Max Bortenschlager guided the Terps to their first Big Ten road win under Durkin on Saturday, 31-24 over previously unbeaten Minnesota.

Still to come for Maryland: road games at Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Michigan State and home matchups against Northwestern, Indiana, Michigan and Penn State, plus a neutral-site showdown against Rutgers at Yankee Stadium.
