Junior wing Faith Masonius, a top-60 recruit in HoopGurlz’ rankings for the Class of 2019, committed to Maryland on Monday.
The 6-foot-1 star for Manasquan High, rated the top girls team in New Jersey by NJ.com, is the third member of the recruiting class set to arrive after next season, joining five-star point guard Ashley Owusu and four-star guard Zoe Young. No other program has more than two top-60 prospects committed.
After scoring 13.4 points per game as a freshman and 10.6 as a sophomore, Masonius is averaging nearly a double double midway through her junior season (20.4 points, 9.5 rebounds), according to NJ.com. Earlier this month, Masonius surpassed 1,000 points for her career.
