Football recruiting
-- Class of 2015 wide receiver commit D.J. Moore was named first-team Class AAA All-State by the Pennsylvania Football Writers and Pennsylvania Football News.
-- Class of 2015 offensive line commit Ellis McKennie (McDonogh) was named Scout.com's "biggest riser" in the East region: "Maryland commit Ellis McKennie began the fall as a two-star and is now an upper echelon three-star player."
-- Class of 2015 defensive line commit Adam McLean is undergoing surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament Thursday.
-- Class of 2015 linebacker commit Brett Zanotto was named first-team Class AAA All-State by the Pennsylvania Football Writers and Pennsylvania Football News. He also received defensive Most Valuable Player honors in Saturday's Blue-Grey All-American Bowl in Tampa, Fla.
-- Class of 2015 linebacker commit Isaiah Davis was named first-team All-Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division I as a running back.
-- Class of 2015 defensive back commit Jameel Cook was named first-team All-District 23-5A, a classification in the Houston area.
-- Class of 2015 defensive end target Austrian Robinson, who took an official visit to Miami over the weekend, reportedly still favors Maryland.
-- Class of 2015 defensive end target Byron Cowart is down to Auburn, Florida and Florida State.
-- Class of 2016 tight end target Devante Brooks committed to Tennessee on Thursday.
Basketball recruiting
-- Class of 2015 guard target Maurice O'Field got a visit from Maryland's coaching staff Monday. A junior-college player, O'Field has three years of eligibility remaining.
-- Class of 2016 guard target Shamorie Ponds visited Maryland on Saturday. The 6-foot guard's profile has exploded during a junior season in which, as of late December, he was averaging nearly 29 points, 10 rebounds, nine steals and seven assists per game. Watch recent highlights of Ponds here.
