The Maryland football team's recruiting bonanza continued Sunday night when three-star offensive lineman Tyran Hunt announced he had committed to the Terps.
"After my full evaluation among the colleges of my choice, I am more than honored and proud to announce I am 100% committed to the University of Maryland!" he wrote on Twitter.
The 6-foot-7, 280-pound Hunt was the third recruit to commit to Maryland on Sunday, joining fellow Virginians Breyon and Brandon Gaddy. While the Terps coaching staff hosted a number of committed and prospective recruits this weekend on official visits, including the Gaddy twins, Hunt visited last month.
He chose Maryland over Virginia and Syracuse and also claimed offers from Duke, Cincinnati, North Carolina State, Virginia Tech and North Carolina, among others.
Hunt, rated the No. 84 offensive tackle recruit in the nation by Rivals.com, is the 25th member of the Terps' Class of 2017 and the fourth lineman of the group, joining guard Marcus Minor, center Johnny Jordan and tackle Jordan McNair (McDonogh).
