Start clearing your calendars now: Maryland announced a four-game series starting in 2026 with Virginia Tech on Wednesday.
The former Atlantic Coast Conference opponents will meet in the first game of the series on Sept. 19, 2026 in College Park. The Terps will return to Blacksburg, Va., to play the Hokies on Sept. 18, 2027, and the final two games of the series will take place on Sept. 16, 2028 and Sept. 15, 2029 in College Park and Blacksburg, respectively.
The meeting in 2026 is slated to be the first between Maryland and Virginia Tech since November 2013, when the Terps beat the Hokies, 27-24, in overtime.
Maryland and Virginia Tech have met 31 times with the Terps holding a 16-15 advantage.
The two teams met yearly between 1919 and 1936, and after Virginia Tech joined the ACC in 2004, Maryland played the Hokies five times.
