Tickets for the No. 4 Maryland women's basketball team's home game Thursday against reigning national champion and No. 1 Connecticut have sold out, the team announced Tuesday afternoon.
In the Big Ten Conference, the record for paid attendance is 17,525, set by Ohio State on Feb. 27, 2005, in a game against Penn State.
The Terps (12-0) have had a capacity announced attendance of 17,950 only twice at Xfinity Center: against North Carolina on Jan. 28, 2007; and against Duke on Feb. 18, 2007. Maryland lost both games. The crowds were also the largest to watch a women's basketball game in Atlantic Coast Conference history.
This is the fifth all-time meeting between the Terps and Huskies (11-0), who have won their previous four meetings and 86 straight overall.
