Terps lose a safety commitment, then add a new one Saturday, reports say

Maryland safety committment Jordan Noil is now a former Maryland commitment, and Terps safety target Antwaine Carter is now a Terps commit.

Noil decommitted recently, according to The Washington Post, prompting the Terps' search for a new safety.

They settled Saturday on Carter, according to multiple media reports. The Westlake senior was named second-team All-Southern Maryland Athletic Conference last season. You can view his highlights on Hudl here.

Noil pledged to Maryland in early October, choosing the Terps over Kansas State, Marshall, Buffalo, Appalachian State and other schools. He was named third-team All-County by the Gwinnett Daily Post.
