Maryland has yet to make a decision on whether quarterback C.J. Brown will play against No. 20 Ohio State on Saturday. However, Brown has been practicing this week and has looked good in practice, according to sources.
Brown suffered a sprained left wrist during the Terps' win over Indiana last week.
If Brown does not play, Maryland will turn to backup quarterback Caleb Rowe, who was 12 of 18 for 198 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions after replacing Brown against the Hoosiers.
Maryland has announced that Saturday's home game against the Buckeyes is sold out. It's the first sellout at Byrd Stadium since Nov. 22, 2008, when Maryland played Florida State in front of an announced 51,620.
As of Wednesday night, weather.com was calling for rain during Maryland's game against Ohio State Saturday and had the likelihood of it raining at 90 percent. But Thursday, that percentage was down to 20 percent, which bodes well for the Terps, the Buckeyes and all observers of college football who prefer to see a game not impeded by rain.
Kickoff is at noon. The game will be televised nationally on ABC.
