Maryland wide receiver-returner Stefon Diggs has been named to the watch list for the Paul Hornung Award given to the most versatile college football player.
Diggs, who will be a sophomore this season, is among six Atlantic Coast Conference players on the list.
The five others, according to the ACC, are Clemson junior wide receiver Sammy Watkins, Georgia Tech junior defensive back Jamal Golden, Miami sophomore running back Duke Johnson, Virginia Tech junior rover Kyshoen Jarrett and Wake Forest senior wide receiver Michael Campanaro (River Hill).
The award is given by by the Louisville Sports Commission and former NFL star (and Louisville native) Paul Hornung. Overall, there are 19 seniors, 21 juniors and four sophomores on the list. Nine are from the Southeastern Conference.
Diggs had the second-most all-purpose yards (1,896) in a single season in program history in 2012.
