After being knocked out of Maryland's victory at Central Florida with an apparent shoulder injury on the first play in double overtime, fifth-year senior quarterback Perry Hills was listed Monday night as the starter for Saturday's Big Ten opener against Purdue.

First-year coach DJ Durkin said two days after his team's 30-24 double-overtime win on Sept. 17 that the injury to the right-handed Hills' throwing arm would be a "day to day thing" and monitored into this week.

"Perry's about as tough as they come," Durkin said in his teleconference on Sept. 19. "Obviously, it's timed well, having a bye and time to recover and get healthy. That's a day-to-day thing. We'll continue to monitor it all the way up to our preparation [for Purdue]."

True freshman Tyrrell  Pigrome, who scored on a 24-yard run up the middle right after replacing Hills to give the Terps their third straight win under Durkin, was listed along with fellow freshman Max Bortenschlager and fifth-year senior Caleb Rowe as Hills' backups.

Durkin is expected to clarify Hills' situation at his regular Tuesday news conference in College Park.

Among some changes on the depth chart released Monday night:

- Senior running back Wes Brown, who was suspended for the first three games dating back to a transgression last seson, is listed as co-fourth string with true freshmen Lorenzo Harrison and Jake Funk, behind potential senior starters Trey Edmunds and Kenneth Goins Jr. (Gilman), as well as sophomore Ty Johnson. Harrison is the team's leading rusher.

- Junior safety Josh Woods is listed as a starter, replacing Denzel Conyers, who has been removed from the depth chart after coming out of the Central Florida game with an undisclosed injury. A team spokesman said Monday that Durkin would address Conyers' injury at Tuesday's news conference. True freshman Qwuantrezz Knight is listed as the backup.
