Maryland women lead McDonald's All American Game with three signings

Maryland women's basketball signings Destiny Slocum, Blair Watson and Kaila Charles were named to the McDonald's All American Game, tied with Stanford for the most in the country.

On the men's side, neither Anthony Cowan Jr. nor Kevin Huerter was selected for the March 30 all-star game in Chicago.

Stephanie Jones (Aberdeen), Jenna Staiti and Sarah Myers also have signed with the Terps, giving coach Brenda Frese the nation's top-ranked recruiting class, according to ESPN.

"Overall this is one of the most elite classes we have signed in my time at Maryland," Frese said in November. "It is a class that has firepower in every position. Every piece, every single player fits in the overall scheme of what we want to bring here to Maryland to help us continue to win championships."
