Maryland football sends out pictures to local recruits to sell 'hometown movement'

Maryland's football program has been trying to sell local recruits from the next two recruiting classes on the idea of banding together and helping to create something special at their homestate school.

The Terps recently sent out pictures to those recruits, hoping to further excite local prospects about the potential of a "hometown movement."

Each picture looks like a poster publicizing an upcoming show from the ESPN "30 for 30" documentary series.

At the top of the picture is a "30 for 30" logo that includes the title "The Movement" with the subtitle beneath it "#DMVtoUMD."

Underneath the logo is a depiction of a group of Maryland players huddling. On the back of one of the jerseys is the name of the player the picture was sent to.

Here are some examples of the pictures as well as some of the reactions from players such as four-star Class of 2016 wide receiver Trevon Diggs (Avalon), four-star Class of 2016 quarterback Dwayne Haskins (Bullis), four-star Class of 2016 offensive lineman Terrance Davis (DeMatha), Class of 2015 defensive line commits Adam McLean (Quince Orchard) and Ellis McKennie (McDonogh) and Class of 2016 commit Lorenzo Harrison (DeMatha):
