There's no questions Maryland's stock is dropping after another blowout loss on the road Sunday at Iowa.
But Terps fans who fear the sky is falling – and have visions of Maryland being on NCAA tournament bubble watch on Selection Sunday – can take a deep breath (for now).
The experts still mostly have the Terps on the No. 4 or No. 5 line as they enter a week that includes a home game against Indiana and a trip to Penn State.
Here's where three bracket prognosticators place Maryland, which fell two spots to No. 19 in Monday's AP Top 25.
ESPN's Joe Lunardi has Maryland as a No. 5 seed in the West Region (Los Angeles). Lunardi has the Terps opening against No. 12 Wofford in Jacksonville, with a potential game against either No. 4 Oklahoma or No. 13 Harvard waiting in the Round of 32. Gonzaga is the No. 1 seed in thar region.
CBS's Jerry Palm places the Terps as the No. 4 seed in the South Region (Houston). He's got them starting out in Pittsburgh against No. 13 Louisiana Tech. That feeds into a potential game against No. 5 Oklahoma or No. 12 Stephen F. Austin. Duke is the No. 1 seed in that region and could be an opponent in the regional semifinals.
Patrick Stevens of Syracuse.com also has Maryland as the No. 4 seed in the South, but he has the Terps beginning with a weekend in Seattle. They'd face No. 13 Harvard in the Round of 64 and either No. 5 Arkansas or No. 12 Green Bay if they advance. Stevens' bracket would also have Maryland facing Duke in the Sweet 16, should both advance that far.
