Through a spokesman, Maryland athletic director Kevin Anderson declined comment Tuesday about a report that he is being considered for the same position at the University of Texas.

The Dallas Morning News reported Monday night that West Virginia athletic director Oliver Luck is "the unquestioned leading candidate" to replace DeLoss Dodds at Texas. But the story also cites two industry sources who say Arizona State athletic director Steve Patterson and Anderson are expected to be interviewed.

Anderson was hired at Maryland in September 2010 after serving as Army's AD since since 2004.

He hired current football coach Randy Edsall and men's basketball coach Mark Turgeon and is leading the Terps' transition from the ACC to the Big Ten.
