The Big Ten announced its academic all-conference list for winter sports Wednesday, and 21 Maryland athletes were honored.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student must be letterwinners who are in at least their second academic year at their school and carry a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
"We are proud of the hard work and dedication our student-athletes continue to display not only in the realm of competition but in the classroom," Maryland athletics director Kevin Anderson said in a statement. "It has been an outstanding year both academically and athletically in our inaugural campaign as a member of the Big Ten."
