Maryland men's basketball coach Mark Turgeon will be breaking bread with Seth Davis on a new TV show on Big Ten Network.
The Terps coach is among several to be included on "A Taste of Coaching with Seth Davis," a six-episode series that debuts Jan. 4 and will air Sunday nights.
The Big Ten Network describes the program as such: "Host Seth Davis, a veteran college basketball writer for Sports Illustrated and well-known analyst and author, is joined around the dinner table by some of college basketball's finest coaches to discuss the hot-button issues surrounding the game today."
Other coaches on the show will include Michigan State's Tom Izzo, Ohio State's Thad Matta, Kansas' Bill Self, Iowa's Fran McCaffery, Notre Dame's Mike Brey, SMU's Larry Brown, Baylor's Scott Drew, Cal's Cuonzo Martin, Stanford's Johnny Dawkins, Oklahoma's Lon Kruger and Steve Lavin from St. John's.
"These coaches are all men I've gotten to know over the years and have had these types of discussions with regularly," Davis said in a statement released by the Big Ten. "Our goal was to create an entertaining show where the coaches would feel like the cameras disappeared."
