Maryland defensive lineman Mackall suspended indefinitely by Terps

Maryland defensive end David Mackall has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules, coach Randy Edsall said.

Maryland did not specify what the violation was.

Mackall -- backed up by sophomore Marcus Whitfield -- has played in all eight games this season and has three sacks.

He joins a list of other Terps suspended at various points -- and for various durations -- this season.

The list includes: fullback Rahsaan Moore, defensive end Cody Blue, receiver Ronnie Tyler, receiver Quintin McCree and running back D.J. Adams.
