What's at stake: Coming off back-to-back road losses at Indiana and Michigan, the Terps are going to be looking to become bowl eligible for the third straight week and, given the opponent, will likely be looking to do the same next at Nebraska (as well as the season finale at home against Rutgers, which remains realistically their best shot). The once-beaten Buckeyes are coming off a 62-3 thrashing of then-No. 10 Nebraska and seem to be headed for a showdown against the Wolverines in two weeks to decide the Big Ten East.
Key matchup: Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett has been a one-man wrecking crew for the Buckeyes. Though a longshot to win the Heisman due to the phenomenal performance by Louisville's Lamar Jackson, Barrett is still putting up Heisman-worthy numbers for a normal year with 21 touchdowns to only four interceptions for 1,965 yards while completing 64.5 percent of his passes. Even if the Maryland defense can force Barrett out of the pocket, he has rushed for 570 yards and six TDs on 129 carries, making him second on the team in attempts and rushing touchdowns to Mike Weber and third behind Weber and Curtis Samuel in yards rushing.
Player to watch: Maryland freshman running back Lorenzo Harrison needs just 56 yards to break LaMont Jordan's freshman rushing record set in 1997. Harrison has 633 yards and has produced at least 60 yards in seven of the team's nine games.
