Former Maryland point guard Roddy Peters dismissed from South Florida

Former Maryland men's basketball point guard Roddy Peters has been dismissed by South Florida, the team announced.

The District Heights native started eight of the Bulls' first 10 games this season before suffering a season-ending left foot fracture. He averaged 9.8 points, 3.5 assists and 3.9 assists in nearly 27 minutes per game.

Peters redshirted in 2014-15 after leaving College Park following his freshman season. The former four-star prospect appeared in all 32 games for the Terps in 2013-14, starting 10.
