Sophomore Brian Saramago's goal in the 21st minute earned Loyola Maryland its first Patriot League regular-season title on Saturday afternoon as the Greyhounds defeated Lafayette, 1-0, at Ridley Athletic Complex. Loyola (11-5-1 overall, 7-2-0 Patriot League) will host the semifinals and championship game of the Patriot League championships next Friday and Sunday. Loyola will face the lowest seed remaining after Tuesday's quarterfinal round on Friday at 5 p.m. Saramago notched his eighth goal of the season in the 21st minute as Barry Sharifi played the ball out wide to Jake Campbell who crossed it into the box for Saramago to finish. With the assist, Sharifi extended his point streak to seven-consecutive games. Freshman Chase Vosvick made four savesfor his seventh career shutout. It is Loyola's first regular-season championship since 2008, and its first since joining the Patriot League for the 2013 season. ... Navy (2-13-2, 0-7-2 PL) lost to visiting Bucknell, 1-0, in its 2017 season finale at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. Bucknell sophomore Patrick Mahoney scored the game's lone goal in the 30th minute. Bucknell (7-7-4, 5-3-1) will next host a Patriot League tournament quarterfinal match Tuesday.

Navy hosts Bucknell forPatriot women's soccer title
Navy and Bucknell will kick off today at noon at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility in Annapolis for the Patriot League women's soccer championship. Navy advanced to the title game with a 3-0 victory over Colgate on Friday in front of the third-largest women's soccer crowd (2,418) at the Warner facility. Navy is seeking its fourth Patriot League Tournament title, while Bucknell is the defending conference champion. The Mids (16-3-1) received a hat tri from Ash Fairow in the semifinals. ... Johns Hopkins earned a 2-1 victory over McDaniel after a 4-3 edge in penalty kicks to advance to the Centennial Conference championship game.
