The Blast has signed Edwin Cubillo, a 27-year-old defender who played with Blast forward Diego Zuniga on the Costa Rica national futsal team.

"Edwin is a talented, attacking left-footed defenderwho we think will be a great addition to the team," Blast coach Danny Kelly said in a statement. "Once he gets familiar with our game, we feel he has the potential to play an important role with the Blast in terms of helping us compete for a championship."
