Outlook: If recent results are any indication, the Blast might have another easy game on Friday. Last Friday, they trounced the visiting Detroit Waza Flo, 26-0, with Lucas Roque's four-goal performance leading the way. The next day, the Waza Flo visited Harrisburg and won, 14-6. Balanced scoring and strong defense have moved the Blast to first place in the Major Arena Soccer League's Eastern Division. Just how strong has the largely-new defense been? After allowing seven first-half points to the Syracuse Silver Knights in its 16-7 win in the season opener, the Blast has not allowed a goal in more than six quarters. Goalie William Vanzela has an .833 save percentage and 1.50 goals against average — both tops in the league. The Blast will keep close watch on Heat midfielder Keith Fultz, who has three goals in the team's two losses. Tarik Walker, a former Blast fan favorite who is in the franchise's Hall of Fame, returns as the Heat's head coach.
