Outlook: The Blast have clinched the Major Arena Soccer League's Eastern Division with three games left in the regular season. They return home after losing two straight road games last weekend, the last being a 5-1 setback at Milwaukee on Saturday. The Wave have clinched the Central Division and this could be a preview of the Eastern Conference championship series. Tony Donatelli (20 goals, 19 assists) and Vini Dantas (20 goals, 11 assists) lead a balanced Blast offense with goalkeeper Joey Kapinos now 4-2 filling in for injured star William Vanzela. The Blast defense will look to contain a potent Wave offense with Ian Bennett second in the league in scoring with 56 points (46 goals, 10 assists). Former Blast player Max Ferdinand (11 goals, 29 assists) is also having another fine season for the Wave. The first 1,000 fans 18 and older will receive a Dantas bobblehead. Saturday is Fan Appreciation Night with the first 2,000 in attendance receiving a team photo, and all players will sign autographs following the game. The Blast are 2-1 against the Tropics, who are in third in the Eastern Division.
