Syracuse Silver Knights (8-4) at Blast (8-3)

When: Friday, 7:35 p.m.

Rochester Lancers (4-9) at Blast (8-3)

When: Saturday, 7:35 p.m.

Where: Baltimore Arena

Outlook: After a comfortable 14-2 home win against the St. Louis Ambush last Friday, the Blast saw their seven-game winning streak end in a last-minute, 9-8 loss at Syracuse on Sunday.

The Blast can quickly get redemption, with the Silver Knights visiting Baltimore Arena on Friday, followed by Rochester on Saturday.

Former Blast standout Machel Millwood started the Silver Knights' fourth-quarter rally with a goal before Bo Jelovac scored with 58 seconds left to beat the Blast in the teams' first meeting this season.

In addition to Millwood, who ranks sixth in the league in scoring with 34 points, the Silver Knights also have enjoyed a strong season from Kenardo Forbes, who is third in the league with 43 points.

The Blast remains in second palce in the Major Indoor Soccer league, one game behind the Milwaukee Wave (9-2). Syracuse is only 1/2 game behind, so Friday's game will be for second place.

On Saturday, the Blast will look for a third straight win against the Lancers. Baltimore dominated the first two meetings, including a 12-0 home win on Dec. 13.

Max Ferdinand continues to lead the Blast in scoring (27 points for ninth in the league) and goalie William Vanzela's 5.18 points against average and .835 save percentage are both tops in the MISL.
