Signed nose tackle Earl Mitchell

The Dolphin signed Earl Mitchell to a four-year, $16 million deal with the hopes the Texans' former nose tackle will be a suitable replacement for Paul Soliai, who signed with the Falcons. Mitchell, who started 17 games the past two seasons, will be used in a defensive tackle rotation that featured Randy Starks and Jared Odrick.
