Ravens unveil some plans for 20th season

Ravens detail some 20th anniversary plans, including commemorative logo.

Ravens players will wear a patch on their jerseys this season to commemorate the franchise's 20th year in Baltimore.

The logo will also appear on tickets, gameday programs and a merchandise line, according to a statement released by the team on Thursday.

The 10 best players in franchise history, as voted on by Permanent Seat License holders, will be featured on tickets for the Ravens' two preseason and eight regular-season games.

The players who will appear on tickets are: outside linebacker Peter Boulware, quarterback Joe Flacco, tight end Todd Heap, running back Jamal Lewis, linebacker Ray Lewis, tackle Jonathan Ogden, safety Ed Reed, kicker Matt Stover, outside linebacker Terrell Suggs and guard Marshal Yanda.

“Except for Matt [Stover] and Marshal [Yanda] – both great stories in their own right – all of these players are first-round draft choices, and that’s something our scouts can be proud of," Ravens general manager and executive vice president Ozzie Newsome said in a statement.

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Haloti Ngata, who was selected as one of the Ravens' 10 best players, will not appear on a ticket.

The Ravens, formerly the Cleveland Browns, played their first season in Baltimore in 1996.
