John Harbaugh anticipates noisy Lucas Oil Stadium

The Baltimore Sun

John Harbaugh is anticipating a noisy trip to Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday when the Ravens play the Indianapolis Colts.

"We’ll have to work on the crowd noise," Harbaugh said Monday. "We had a loud stadium in Cleveland, and it’s only going to be louder in Indianapolis because it’s indoors. And rumor has it they pipe crowd noise in there, so we’ll see if that’s the case or not going back there again. But we’ll be looking forward to it.”

The Colts have been accused in the past of piping in crowd noise, but those allegations were never proven.

After a 2007 game against the New England Patriots when the noise was particularly amplified when quarterback Tom Brady was trying to call signals, CBS took the blame for a sound malfunction that could be heard on the telecast.

Harbaugh laughed when asked about the crowd noise issue while apologizing to former Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano, the Colts' head coach.

"It's a rumor, it's a rumor," Harbaugh said. "Sorry, Chuck."
