Rice still not practicing for Ravens

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said earlier this week that running back Ray Rice could not practice all week and still play Sunday against the Houston Texans. That's exactly how it has played out so far.

Rice, who is dealing with a strained left hip flexor, was not present for the early portion of practice, the last extensive workout before Sunday's game. The Ravens will have a walk-through practice tomorrow.

Though the injury report won't be out until Friday afternoon, Rice appears headed for a game-time decision. If he can't go, Bernard Pierce will start in his place.

Wide receiver Jacoby Jones (knee), center Ryan Jensen (foot), linebacker Arthur Brown (pectoral) and defensive end Chris Canty (groin) also were not present for the early portion of practice.

Jones has already been ruled out for Sunday's game and Jensen hasn't practiced since early in training camp so he won't play either. However, the absence of Brown and Canty, who have both not practiced all week, casts doubt that they'll play this weekend.
