Ravens' Wednesday injury report

Five Ravens starters did not practice Wednesday.

They are: wide receiver Lee Evans (left ankle), center Matt Birk (left knee), left guard Ben Grubbs (toe), defensive end Cory Redding (toe) and nose tackle Terrence Cody (concussion).

Wide receiver/kick returner David Reed (left shoulder strain) and cornerback Jimmy Smith (high left ankle sprain) also did not participate and are expected to miss the next few weeks, including Sunday’s road game against the St. Louis Rams.

Cornerback Chris Carr, who sat out the team’s 26-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans Sunday with a left hamstring injury, returned to practice on a limited basis.

For the Rams, three starters in running back Steven Jackson (strained left quad), wide receiver Danny Amendola (dislocated left elbow) and linebacker Ben Leber (groin) did not practice.

Carnell Williams, Jackson’s replacement at tailback, also did not participate due to an injured hamstring, and defensive end C.J. Ah You was sidelined by an injured wrist.

Tight end Michael Hoomanawanui (calf) and rookie wide receiver/punt returner Greg Salas (ribs) were limited.
