Mike Preston's report card: Ravens vs. Texans

Quarterbacks

Joe Flacco had a good first half, going 15-for-22 in the first two quarters for 152 yards and two touchdowns. But Flacco and the offense were out of sync in the second half, and he still holds the ball too long. There are times when Flacco appears extremely slow in dropping back.

Ray Rice ran hard and with authority, especially in the first half. He became the team's top weapon in the second half, especially as a receiver. Fullback Le'Ron McClain looked rusty, and Willis McGahee never got into a groove.

Offensive Line

The Ravens are trying to develop a power running game, but this group doesn't have that kind of muscle. It is more of a finesse group. Despite getting help from the tight ends and receivers, the line allowed three sacks and Flacco to be hit six other times in the first three quarters.
