Ravens release CB Terrell Bonds a day after activating him from injured reserve

The Ravens released reserve cornerback Terrell Bonds on Friday, one day after he was activated from injured reserve.

Bonds, who began the season on the Ravens practice squad, appeared in four games and started their Week 9 win over the Indianapolis Colts. He suffered a knee injury in the loss to the New England Patriots a week later and was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list in late November.

Bonds returned to practice Dec. 16 and was activated Thursday, briefly leaving the Ravens with 54 players on their 53-man roster. With the secondary’s improving health and the midseason acquisition of cornerback Tramon Williams, Bonds faced an uphill battle for playing time.

Bonds, who is subject to waivers, has six tackles and appeared in 84 defensive snaps and 31 special teams snaps this season.
