Mike Preston's report card: Steelers 13, Ravens 10

never got in sync and had trouble with blitzes. Left tackle Michael Oher jumped offside several times. The middle of the line, center Matt Birk and guards Ben Grubbs and Chris Chester, got very little push against the Steelers' defensive line, especially in the second half. Overall, this group has to do a better job of protecting the quarterback.

Receivers

When the Ravens had time to throw or wanted to go downfield, Pittsburgh had no answers for the receivers. Anquan Boldin got off to a good start, and T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Donte' Stallworth and Derrick Mason had solid games.

Grade: B-

Defensive line

The Ravens shut down Pittsburgh's running game and did a good job of maintaining lane integrity. Haloti Ngata, Kelly Gregg and Cory Redding were outstanding inside.

Grade: A

Linebackers

Ray Lewis and Jameel McClain were extremely active inside, and outside linebacker Terrell Suggs might have been the best player on the field. Strong-side linebacker Jarret Johnson played well against the run.

Secondary

Pittsburgh was able to hit some short to intermediate passes, but the Ravens contained the receivers, including speedster Mike Wallace. Cornerbacks Josh Wilson and Fabian Washington tackled well for most of the game, but safety Dawan Landry blew the tackle on running back Isaac Redman's 9-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.

Grade: B

Special teams

The Ravens are getting big plays from the return game, but they haven't consistently turned them into points. The kicking game was stellar as usual, but the Ravens should have gotten kicker Billy Cundiff onto the field at the end.
