Ravens LT Ronnie Stanley, CB Jimmy Smith questionable for road game vs. Texans

Ravens left tackle Ronnie Stanley (hip) is questionable for the team’s first road game of the season Sunday against the Houston Texans.

Stanley was a full participant in Friday’s practice. He left last Sunday’s season opener against the Cleveland Browns with an ankle injury but it was his hip that kept him out of Wednesday’s practice. He was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice.

Cornerback Jimmy Smith (hip) and running back Justice Hill (thigh) are also questionable. Smith did not practice Wednesday and was a limited participant on Thursday and Friday.

After missing all of practice last week, Hill returned as a limited participant on Wednesday and Thursday and he was a full participant on Friday.

Even if Hill is healthy enough to play, his spot on the active game-day roster is not a guarantee. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman has said he will “definitely” use three running backs each week and will sometimes use four. Fellow backs Mark Ingram II, Gus Edwards and rookie J.K. Dobbins all played at least 15 snaps in the team’s season-opening win over the Browns.

Rookie defensive tackle Justin Madubuike (knee) and wide receiver Chris Moore (finger) have been ruled out.

The Texans have listed two starters as questionable: wide receiver Brandin Cooks (quad) and offensive lineman Tytus Howard (ankle). Running back Duke Johnson (ankle) and linebacker Peter Kalambayi (hamstring) are also questionable.
