Wide receiver Rashod Bateman was the Ravens’ top draft pick last month. He’s also the first to sign an NFL contract.
Bateman, the No. 27 overall pick, signed his rookie deal Wednesday, the team announced. Under the rookie wage scale in the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement, the total value of Bateman’s four-year contract will be about $12.6 million, including a $6.5 million signing bonus, according to Spotrac.
Bateman reported to Owings Mills ahead of the start of rookie minicamp Friday. The former Minnesota standout had 147 career catches for 2,395 yards and 19 touchdowns over three seasons.
Cornerback Shaun Wade, outside linebacker Daelin Hayes and tight end Ben Mason also signed their rookie deals Wednesday, the team announced.
Edge rusher Odafe Oweh, guard Ben Cleveland, defensive back Brandon Stephens and wide receiver Tylan Wallace have yet to sign.
