Ravens guard Kevin Zeitler and defensive end Derek Wolfe were absent at practice Thursday, the team’s final workout this week.
Zeitler, who started in the Ravens’ preseason finale Saturday against the Washington Football Team, also was not present for the open viewing period at the team’s Wednesday practice. He missed time in training camp with a minor foot injury.
Wolfe sat out the Ravens’ win Saturday over Washington and hasn’t practiced in an open session in more than a week. He left a mid-August joint practice against the Carolina Panthers after suffering an apparent back injury, but coach John Harbaugh said afterward that it was “nothing serious at all.”
Cornerback Jimmy Smith (ankle), whom Harbaugh expected to miss practice this week, also remained out. He could return next week or “very early in the season,” Harbaugh said Monday. Defensive back/linebacker Anthony Levine Sr., a practice squad player who could be called up for the Week 1 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, was absent as well.
Left tackle Ronnie Stanley returned to practice after missing Wednesday’s session.
