Report: Ravens wide receiver Marquise Brown had surgery to remove screw, will be ready for camp

Ravens wide receiver Marquise Brown underwent surgery to remove a screw from his foot but will be ready for the start of training camp, according to an NFL Network report.

The 2019 first-round pick finished second on the team last season with 46 catches, 584 receiving yards and seven touchdown receptions but was never fully healthy as he recovered from Lisfranc surgery to his left foot.

At the NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday, Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said he expects Brown to take a significant leap forward in his second season. The 22-year-old led the Ravens with seven catches for 126 yards in their season-ending playoff loss to the Tennessee Titans.

DeCosta also expressed high hopes for Brown’s draft classmate, Miles Boykin, as the Ravens look to squeeze more production from their young corps of wide receivers.
