Ravens rule out Jimmy Smith, will enter game vs. Jaguars with just one healthy cornerback

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson on social media respond to his cramps during the Cleveland Browns game.

The Ravens ruled out Jimmy Smith and listed four other cornerbacks questionable for Sunday’s must-win game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

All-Pro Marcus Peters (calf) also missed all three practices this week, but he’s considered questionable. Anthony Averett, a healthy scratch Monday, is questionable after missing practice Friday with an ankle injury. Davontae Harris (shoulder) was upgraded to limited participation Friday, while Tramon Williams (thigh) was a full participant for the first time this week.

With the Ravens’ injury woes at the position, only All-Pro Marlon Humphrey will enter Sunday with a normal week of practice.

Also limited Friday were defensive end Calais Campbell (calf) and defensive back/linebacker Anthony Levine Sr. (abdomen), both of whom missed practice Thursday. Both are questionable for Sunday.

Tight end Luke Willson (hip) and defensive end Derek Wolfe (neck/back) were full participants Friday. Defensive tackle Broderick Washington (concussion), who practiced fully all three days this week, is also considered questionable.

The Jaguars ruled out cornerback Sidney Jones IV with an Achilles tendon injury. Tre Herndon, who started opposite Jones in Week 14, is on the reserve/COVID-19 list and must clear protocols to play Sunday.

Note: The Ravens announced Friday that assistant head coach and wide receivers coach David Culley will not coach in Sunday’s game because of illness. He will be replaced by senior assistant and running backs coach Craig Ver Steeg.
