Ravens sign safety Geno Stone, reuniting again with 2020 draft pick

The Ravens have signed safety Geno Stone to a one-year deal, bringing their 2020 seventh-round draft pick back to Baltimore.

The No. 219 overall pick, Stone played two games for the Ravens last season, mostly on special teams. Houston claimed him off waivers in late December, but he didn’t play for the Texans, and he was not tendered as an exclusive-rights free agent this offseason.

This is the third time Stone’s returned to the Ravens. The former Iowa star was waived in early October, then added to the practice squad when he went unclaimed. He was also the last of the Ravens to test positive for the coronavirus during an outbreak that sent 23 players to the reserve/COVID-19 list.

In Baltimore, Stone will reunite with fellow safeties Chuck Clark and DeShon Elliott, the team’s returning starters, and reserves Jordan Richards and Nigel Warrior. Defensive back-linebacker Anthony Levine Sr. is a free agent.
