Ravens G Ben Cleveland, WR Sammy Watkins leave game vs. Colts with injuries

Ravens rookie left guard Ben Cleveland left Monday night’s 31-25 overtime win against the Indianapolis Colts suffering a knee injury in the second quarter, while wide receiver Sammy Watkins exited with a hamstring injury.

With 2:27 to go in the second quarter, left tackle Alejandro Villanueva rolled into Cleveland’s left leg and the Ravens’ third-round draft pick remained on the ground before trainers came to his aid. He was carted into the locker room soon after.

Soon after Cleveland left the game, Watkins went into the medical tent before going into the locker room with the hamstring injury. He missed five games with a hamstring injury last season as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Right guard Kevin Keitler was seen hopping off the field after quarterback Lamar Jackson threw a 27-yard pass to tight end Mark Andrews with 11:54 left in the fourth quarter. Zeitler was attended to by trainers as he tested his knee on the sideline but later returned to the game.

The Ravens’ offensive line has been hampered by injuries throughout the season. All-Pro tackle Ronnie Stanley, who had ankle surgery after being injured last Nov. 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, has missed four consecutive games with an ankle injury, while Tyre Phillips has also missed the past four games after being injured in the season opener against the Las Vegas Raiders. Phillips returned to practice Saturday the Ravens designated him to return from injured reserve, meaning they have 21 days from that day to elevate him to the active roster or place him on season-ending IR.
