Ravens re-sign wide receiver and special teams contributor Chris Moore

The Ravens have re-signed free-agent wide receiver Chris Moore to a one-year deal, the team announced Tuesday night.

Moore finished with just three catches for 21 yards last season, both career lows. He played 159 snaps on offense, the fewest among regular contributors at wide receiver. Over 58 games and four seasons with the Ravens, Moore has 47 receptions on 84 targets for 511 yards and four touchdowns.

But the former fourth-round pick is a valued contributor on special teams, where he ranked third in snaps in 2018 and fourth last year. He could also be in the mix at kickoff returner, a role he previously held.

With his extension, Moore is the eighth pending free agent or unrestricted free agent to re-sign with the Ravens this offseason. Offensive tackle Andre Smith, wide receiver and return specialist De’Anthony Thomas, safety Jordan Richards, defensive end Jihard Ward, defensive tackle Justin Ellis, defensive back-linebacker Anthony Levine Sr. and cornerback Jimmy Smith previously signed.
