The Kansas City Chiefs are field-goal favorites over the Ravens ahead of their “Sunday Night Football” matchup in Baltimore, according to Las Vegas sportsbooks.
The Ravens opened as 2 ½-point underdogs, but the line has since widened to 3 ½. They last entered a home game as underdogs in 2019, when the then-unbeaten New England Patriots were three-point favorites in another “Sunday Night Football” showdown. The Ravens won in Baltimore, 37-20, and went on to end the regular season with 12 straight wins overall.
Late comebacks have the Ravens and Chiefs in different moods entering Week 2. The Cleveland Browns led by 12 at halftime and by nine early in the fourth quarter Sunday before ultimately falling inside Arrowhead Stadium, 33-29. The Ravens, meanwhile, led 14-0 in the second quarter and by three with 37 seconds remaining, but the Las Vegas Raiders rallied for a 33-27 overtime win Monday night.
Sunday’s meeting is the fourth in as many years between former NFL Most Valuable Players Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson. The Chiefs have won all three, rallying for an overtime victory in Kansas City in 2018, holding off the visiting Ravens in 2019 and dominating in Baltimore last season. Kansas City leads the all-time series 7-4 and has won four in a row overall.
The over-under for Monday’s game is 55 points.
