had trouble pass blocking, particularly right tackle Marshal Yanda. Reserve tackle Tony Moll has to do a better job at the point of attack as the tight end in the short-yardage package.

Grade: C.

Receivers

Mason is a Browns killer, and they have no one on their roster who can match up with him. Houshmandzadeh had four catches for 32 yards, and Boldin had two for 15, but was open other times when Flacco failed to get him the ball.

Grade: C+.

Defensive line

The Ravens were determined to shut down Cleveland's running game, and Browns halfback Peyton Hillis had only 35 yards on 12 carries. Tackles Haloti Ngata and Kelly Gregg were stellar up front, but maybe the most improved player from the start of the season has been end Cory Redding, who finished with five tackles.

Grade: B.

Linebackers

In the past two weeks, Jameel McClain has been the team's best inside linebacker, and Dannell Ellerbe had turned in two strong efforts as well. McClain finished with seven tackles, and one fumble recovery, and Ellerbe had four. Outside linebacker Jarret Johnson turned in a very strong performance.

Grade: B+.

Secondary

The Ravens had three interceptions, but they weren't great plays. The Ravens held their ground, and played a steady game, but the Browns dropped quite a few passes. Cleveland quarterback Colt McCoy was very generous to the Ravens secondary, and safety Ed Reed should take him out to dinner.

Grade: C+.

Special teams

Kicker Billy Cundiff kicked two field goals into shifting and strong winds. Sam Koch averaged 45.7 yards on three punts and had one inside the 20. The Ravens contained Josh Cribbs on punt returns, but allowed an average of 25.2 on five kickoff returns. Linebacker Prescott Burgess had three special teams tackles.

Grade: B+.
