A training camp-high 19 players did not take part in Ravens practice on Thursday morning at the team's headquarters in Owings Mills.
Several of the absent players are not injured and are likely benefitting from a day off for veterans. That group could include cornerbacks Brandon Carr and Jimmy Smith; inside linebacker Albert McClellan; outside linebacker Terrell Suggs; wide receiver Mike Wallace; tight end Benjamin Watson; free safety Lardarius Webb; and running back Danny Woodhead.
The list of injured players includes cornerbacks Maurice Canady (torn cartilage in knee), rookie Marlon Humphrey (undisclosed) and Sheldon Price (unspecified); wide receivers Breshad Perriman (right hamstring tightness) and Kenny Bell (hamstring); centers Ryan Jensen (ankle) and rookie Brandon Kublanow (undisclosed); running back Kenneth Dixon (torn meniscus in left knee); quarterback Joe Flacco (back); tight end Crockett Gillmore (torn MCL in right knee); and rookie guard Nico Siragusa (torn ACL, MCL, and PCL in left knee).
Left tackle Ronnie Stanley, who missed the second half of Wednesday's session after injuring his left leg, was back at practice and working with the team.
Cornerback Tavon Young (torn ACL in left knee) is on the team's physically unable to perform list.
