Browns fan charged with urinating on Modell's grave, identified by police

A Cleveland Browns fan who uploaded a video of himself apparently urinating on former Ravens owner Art Modell's grave last month has been charged with disorderly conduct in a cemetery, Baltimore County police said.

Paul S. Serbu, 61, of the first block of Meadowcrest Dr. in Franklin, Ohio, was issued a criminal summons last month ordering him to appear in court to face the misdemeanor charge, which carries a maximum sentence of two years in jail and a $500 fine. He was identified by police Tuesday.

In the video, posted on (and since removed from) YouTube by user "BrownsFan4Life," a man tears off an Ed Reed Ravens jersey to reveal a Browns jersey underneath. He claims to be urinating on the late team owner's grave with a catheter and tube inside the leg of his pants.

The suspect is one of many Cleveland fans still angered by Modell moving the franchise to Baltimore in 1996.

"As far as [urinating] on your grave, I had no choice," he says, speaking directly to Modell in the video. "Anyone who says, '[It's been] 15 years, let it go' ... you let it go."

Serbu's court date has been set for Feb. 10. No lawyer was listed for him in electronic court records, and a phone number listed for his Ohio address was disconnected.

Modell's son, David, declined to comment beyond saying, "It's in process and we look forward to the adjudication."
